CADIZ CITY, Negros Occidental, Jan.09 (PNA) -- The city is slated to host the First Mayor Dr. Patrick G. Escalante Badminton tilt on January 19 to 20, 2013 in line with the celebration of Cadiz City Dinagsa Festival this month.
The sports event was inspired by the successful staging of 1st Mayor Dr. Patrick G. Escalante Age-Group chess tournament last December.
Six categories are up to be contested in the two-day tournament. Among them are the under 9-year-old, under 11-year-old, under 13-year-old and under, 15-year-old boys? and girls? singles and doubles. This will also include the 30 up and 40 up men?s and women?s doubles. In the second day, the team event for college players will be played.(PNA)
